Sorry if this has been mentioned before but has anyone heard that over this side of the pond 'Simba' is flowering? Is it flowering in the U.S.? Several people who post on UKOASIS have flowering specimens or specimens that are no longer with us due to flowering. I presume these are micro-propped as I believe most new varieties of murielae seem to be.

I wonder if it calls the long-term viability of propped boos into question as surely Fargesia murielae should not be flowering again so soon.

I seem to recall reading about Murielae flowering here one or two years ago but I'm unsure if it was specifically Simba. I do, however, remember the prevailing wisdom at that time, which was it was probably mis-labelled as a "new-generation" murielae.

Jonathan, there's no way the true 'simba' is flowering or either any true F. murielae. Chances are there TC plants from old stock, there's a few names around-kranich etc, probably re-labeled by someone just to shift stock
