Looks like you've created yourself a nice little bamboo park. No need to go elsewhere for picnics.

I only have a small yard space to play with...so let's see how things look in a few years. Depending on how things grows, I may just adapt and adjust.

Currently, my bamboo arrangement looks like this. Bamboos are planted in the grass area surrounded by walkways and patio. (U = Undecided)
U1 is slightly low and often wet. I have on hand a Dulcis and a Propinqua which will be put in those undecided slots. Dulcis is ready to go, but Propinqua (Beijing) is still in ICU so I may not want to disturb it this year.

Here's some of what I have. The only impressive ones are atrovaginata and bicolor, but everything else is making small gains for the most part, and letting leafier this year as it seems to rain almost every day.

Brad, I love the layered effect. Your plantings have matured nicely in the 6 or 7 years since I saw your place. Very nice. I love the tall bamboos, floating over the groundcover bamboos. That Sasa bitchuensis is incredible. I will have to make a space, then get one. Love the giant leaves.

Thanks to everyone for posting their images.
