I know of several people that got D. Sikkimensis seed.

Some new pictures of seed & my seedling of D. sikkimensis on this site might help you to see if this identification is a possibility. It certainly has large auricles, the leaves are shiny though. You can't confuse the seed of D. sikkimensis with that of D. strictus, but some other Dendrocalamus species have quite large, rounded seeds.

The bottoms of the culms are dark red/black, but the tops are completely green.
