[Bamaboo]

I've been hearing a lot about bamboo fabrics lately and I just wondered if anyone on this board knows about them.

How are they made?

Hello David,

I don't know how they are made but my family has lots of bamboo fiber clothing. It's very soft and comfortable against the skin, and wicks moisture well. Bamboo socks are super and feet stay dry and warm, or dry and cool. It's bacteriostatic so it tends to smell nice.

We have not been impressed with bamboo towels which seem to catch on everything, and pull and fray. 100% bamboo tends not to hold its shape and benefits From a small % of synthetic fiber.

We like it and will continue to use more bamboo fiber products as they learn to apply it to our western clothing.

Same here. The towels don't want to slide across the hands or body and take off the water. Clothing may be a different matter, but the towels I'm not impressed with.

I've seen the t-shirts advertised, but not socks. Where are you getting that?

Joke....actually, I've heard of jeans made from boo, I think.

I normally only wear Chinese fashions....but I guess a cowboy hat would be a unique accent for my Mandarin outfit....

No, seriously, thanks for the input, all. But if anyone knows anything about the process of making fabrics from bamboo, I'd be interested to hear about it. Links? Suggestions?
