Anyone know the estimated hardiness of this rare bamboo called Borinda Yunnan4?

I had this planted outside for its first winter this year. It was far milder than usual but we had a couple of -6c nights and we had some snow. Mine is fine apart from some minor frost damage to the leaves. It's actually in the process of replacing these right now so it's still healthy.

Thanks for the info!

I guess this means there's little chance Borinda Yunnan4 will survive in zone 6...

I would have thought that was pushing it a bit, however, the USDA zone system doesn't tell the whole story. My part of England is supposed to be zone 8 ish but we can grow lots of zone 9 plants. Our neighbours, however, can't because of a totally different microclimate.
