is this a running type bamboo, or a clumper? from the pics, looks to be a runner, I didnt see any others culms in the photo. The pic that shows the fuzz on the new shoot looks an awfull lot like the photo that Fred just posted of Tonkin cane, Pseudosasa amablis.
