Found 15 rhizomes above ground yesterday on my Alata

I planted a 3 gallon Alata in the ground 2 months ago and just noticed 15 rhizomes coming from all directions on top of the soil yesterday. I drug my wife over to see it. I feel like I'm a dad again and the wife thinks I am certifiable.... Pictures to come.

She will think you have a hot blond hidden in the garden somewhere, you well be or there so often!

That, and if you have children or pets, freaking out whenever someone gets too close to the bamboo "watch the shoots!" will become the first thing out of your mouth.

Yea, I've already had to tell my 3 year old daughter not to drive her 12V truck over the rhizomes.

I have to tell you, I spend at least 5 minutes each morning (before leaving for work) walking around each bamboo to check soil moisture and general overall health. I have an addictive personality so this doesn't surprise my wife at all....

I plan to go dig some Bory from my bamboo source tonight or tomorrow. She has so many species and so much to dig, I will be busy all winter long. Thank god for it's proliferation. She's happy to have all the groves cleaned out and I get unlimited access to all I want out of these mature groves.
