fargesia rufra "Sunset Glow"
Today I got a catalog from a wholesale nursery listing a Fargesia Rufra "Sunset Glow". Anyone see this before?

Well, if it's Fargesia Rufa "Sunset Glow", then yes. That's what a lot of the rufa's that I see in local nurseries are called. I think it's just a name that some grower or distributor attached. I don't think there's anything different about them when compared to other rufas.

Another trademark name. Probably a tissue propagated plant.

Nurseries sell those around here. They are relatively expensive too.

Well, I got a shipment of shrubs for a customer and had to give it a try. Will plant & observe. Looks a bit ratty, but see some new leaves.
