We have many Fargesia dracocephalia Rufa here. Most are in deep shade and look great. I divided some clumps and put in large pots. They are shaded in morning and afternoon......but get a lot of midday sun.
Can I add green vegetable dye to the pots for them to look better ?
Thanks

That sounds like a good experiment! If it were me I wouldn't do it to my best specimen -- I'd try it on a smaller pot placed in the same location and see what happens. I'd be surprised if it worked though, but I'm no expert.

I'd try adding some more nitrogen fertilizer. One of those water soluble ones like Peters or Miracle grow should produce quick results if it works. Dye would not have occurred to me, but I guess if it is taken up by roots it might work, though I'm not sure why it would be.
